Denise, Thank you again for your help! Anriques is another new name for me. With your explanation, the writing becomes quite legible. very gratefully yours, Linda On Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 4:32:23 AM UTC-7, Denise wrote: > The brides father is Bras Henriques. It's spelled the old

Darn! Thanks so much Aaron, but I believe Domingos Fernandes is the Groom's father. I'm having difficulty deciphering the Bride's father's name. thanks again, I really appreciate your having a look, Linda On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:24:06 PM UTC-7, linda wrote: > Thanks so

Thanks so much! I'll add that to my list of possibilities. I've stared at the name for so long that its solidified into nonsense letters. any further suggestions gratefully received, L. On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:13:48 PM UTC-7, Aaron Pereira wrote: > I see Domingos Fernandes(z)

Hello, I agree, the brides father is difficult...Here are the letters I see: Bras, anriqzos...I'm sure some of these letters could be different, but, its a starting point. I used the LDS book, "Basic Portuguese Paleography" On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:38:51 PM UTC-7, linda wrote:

Hi Aaron, Yes, that's more or less what I'm seeing. My brain takes turns between "Brasanrigues" and "Gaspar r[odr]igues" I think you're correct: the descending letter toward the end isn't a "g" but a "q". It looks like the "q" in "Pacheqo" (four lines above) and not the "g" three lines
