Got my DNA test results.
We have the possibility to send emails to the possible relatives. I have
been looking for connections in the GEDCOMs uploaded but not immediate
connections.
QUESTION: Is it polite (appropriate) to send emails to the pointed out DNA
matches?

Absolutely! Sometimes they respond and sometimes they don't! I've had it both
ways.

My Mom dad is a Costa and her grandmother is a Dias. They come from Rabo de
Peixe, S Miguel.
Jose DoCamo DeCosta 1871-1943 and Georgiana Rapoza Dias 1875-1949
They both came over with there families to Hawaii.

I don't know where she's from, but I have a possible relative for you:
Isilda da COSTA DIAS de MEDEIROS
married to António RIBEIRO de MEDEIROS.
Based on these surnames, I would say they are most likely from Sao Miguel.
I would estimate they were married about 1920-1930.

Good morning group, I was looking through my tree and noticed something
strange. I have a Maria Luisa (no last name) born March 19 1757 in Santo
Amaro, Pico with no parents listed. With that information shouldn't I be able
to find her birth record and her parents' names? She died 1/10/1823

deste ditto pessoa e Manoel da Costa Dias. Manoel casou com Maria da Conceicao
