Dear List,
I have migrated the master director daemon and the storage daemon on
another maschine. Everything works nicely except the backup of my remote
maschines through a ssh-tunnel.
The tunnel:

Most likely you do not have a long enough wait in your mtx-changer script,
and so Bacula is attempting to access the drive before the autochanger has
had enough time to load the tape.
This is described in the script and in the Autochanger chapter of the manual.

It's funny, it's never been a problem in the past. Our Scalar i2000 has been

I'll try it anyway.

Hi Yann
I tried that, and it said no jobs running, but it was. I eventually
stopped bacula-sd/fd/dir. Its left a job as running in the list jobs
output, but its not spooling or writing to tape anymore.

if it's not running you can remove it from the database using the delete
command in bconsole

Hello,
It would help if you sent email to this list in text mode rather than html

If I remember right Tru54 is a variant of SysV, so most likely your problem is
that your tape drive is running in SysV mode rather than BSD mode, and Bacula

Do it only to tapes you are sure are not known to Bacula and have no valid

Well, it seems like the new 1.38.0 informational message is serving the

I'd reboot the machine to be sure, but it is also possible, even though we
tried, that we no longer properly support Win98 -- it isn't so easy with all
the new VSS code we have added. I personally no longer have a Win98 system
on which I can test. Perhaps Thorsten would have some comments ...

Yes, of course, simply use the update volume=xxx command and mark it Used or

Hello!
As far as I know TRU64 you have to use /dev/nait3 as the

Hope that helps
