Hi,

Hello,
we are changing to backup to disk instead of backup to tape. I believe
we have hit a show stopper but since I am quite new to disk backup I
would like to hear others experience / suggestions.
We have about 10TByte of disk that is to be backed up and 20TB of

I'm using OCS Inventory to push Bacula to Windows systems... The
installer is included in the sources by the way. All you need is NSIS

Bacula has ability to use "Master keys" to prevent this unfortunate

Hello.
So, I have about 25 windows machines to backup. I really only need to
backup the '.../Documents and Settings/USER/' folder. Now, I can obviously
go in and create an individual fileset for each machine - this works fine -
except that means creating 25-30 filesets, which is just kind of a p

Hello John,
Many Thanks .
I have tested the raw drive speed with vdump and bs=1024, The drive
speed is around 35MB/s during vdump.
The tape drive is SCSI LVD.I had tried replacing the cable twice.but no
improvement in speed through bacula.
Does a spool file on raid0 increases the despooling spee

Hello,
We have a LTO-3 Ultrium Tape Library.Bacula 2.2.7 is implemented in SLES

The despooling speed to the tape is 7.8 MB/sec always, even with
hardware compression and no hardware compression.
Is it possible to increase the despooling speed.

Hi,
when configuring multiple "Run"s in a schedule that occur at the same time,
they are run sequentially:
Run = Full Pool = PoolSpecial w01 mon at 8:00
Run = Full Pool = Pool mon at 8:00
results in two executions of the job that refers to the schedule.
This definitely is not a bug, or out o

Hello guys,
i am a little confused regarding volume retention times defined in pool
resources.
Let's take this as a good example, a monthly backup with a retention of
15 months:
Pool {
Name = Pool-monthly
Pool Type = Backup
Recycle = yes
Use Volume Once = yes
AutoPrune = yes
