Hi,
We're using Bacual v2.2.5 on Centos 4.7.
After a power cut which affected only our LTO4 drive (server on UPS)
none of our tapes are mounting properly. The output is as follows:
*mount LTO4
block.c:995 Read error on fd=5 at file:blk 0:0 on device LTO4
(/dev/st0). ERR=Input/output error.

Hi there,
Im using Bacula 2.2.5 on centos 4.3 (2.6.9-34.ELsmp) with an LTO4 drive and
tapes. We upgraded recently from an older bacula (1.36.3) and LTO1.
One thing I have noticed now is that when I label or relabel a tape it
auto-mounts, reports that the tape has been mounted, requests that

Hi there,
I am getting an error 3909 Error scanning mount command: mount LTO1 as
of today. No problems like this until today.
I had used 'bextract' on a couple of tapes earlier but i dotn see how
that could be connected...?
If anyone has any idea how to correct his I would be grateful.

I think you're out of luck for 3.1...
Under Debian, you would need to install bacula-sd-xxx where xxx is the
database backend. Because bscan can interact with the catalogue, you
have to install the correct
Hi there,
I am new to bacula and I am having some problems:
I have to restore some stuff from a volume which was purged from our
bacula catalogue a while ago.
I assumed that if and when I needed to add it back into the database
that I would use the 'bscan' command, however it seems like

It looks like your whole directory is being copied because of the
File = /mnt/san/usr/home/
Try removing this

Many thanks,

Hi there,
I've accidentally (read: stupidly) purged files associated with a
particular client from my bacula catalog.
We are using version 1.36.2
How can I repopulate our catalog with this data? I have the relevant (LTO1)
tapes to hand.
If this is not possible, can I recover my data in
like being told to exclude too many objects.
I dont know if this extends to excluding single, but very large
directories (~700GB).
Thanks for any time you spend on my stoopid problem!
Yours Hopefully,
