Carlos, try a couple things first:
Try running bcharge at a command prompt. Then try btool -l and see if it can
find the Bold.
If you want to try a newer version, there is an ebuild at
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233946
You will need to put this ebuild into a portage overlay.

We've had reports that the Bold works with version 0.13, so upgrading is your
