I have been trying to use my broadcom 4318. The B43 software finds the
card I am using but the MAC address is not correct. I am using Ubuntu
7.10 using the 2.6.22-14 kernel and the compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz
wireless distribution, with the broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5 firmware. The

Do you have an equivalent of an
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-wlan0 that has a line that specifies
HWADDR=something?

I can't make them work together. I'm using b43 driver from wireless-testing
(+ allow-ap-vlan-modes patch) and hostapd from git.
