Interesting...our Schlappi ate not only all remote controls in the house,
but my brand new Siemens international cell phone as well. Ouch! What an
expensive toy to replace!
He would only do things like this when we were away from the house...even
for a couple of hourse...as if in rebellion.

Hello fellow Lers and Sandy!
First of all, I apologize to everybody and Sandy Ongemach for not stating
that my comment on Sandy's words was not directed against herself. It just
caught at a sore place. Again, my response that follows is not a direct
answer, but Sandy's letters are so thought

Hi All,
On the various posts here re. clipping dogs' nails.
This is something I have never had to do yet, do leash walk my dogs down on
the road and they wear down naturally! When adoptee Barney arrived he came
with toys and cushions and a pair of clippers! Was told he was due for a

I haate to do nails! I am terrified to do my pit bull's nails---but not
because of her breed. She, the pit bull, is very sweet about this, but her
quicks seem to be several inches long and go on forever and ever and ever ,
so I never know where it is safe to clip.

Here is a link to an article on allegedly sick pups
sold from a pet store in Northglenn, Colorado. It has
other interesting links at the end. This is not
Berner-specific but it is important information for
anyone looking for any breed of puppy, including BMD.
http://news4colorado.com/topstories/
This is just a small part of the law. The full
information can be read at www.hua.org under the Puppy
Lemon Laws. One thing to note, this applies to
"breeders" but not to "pet dealers." A breeder is
defined as someone who sells all or part of 3 or more
litters or 20 or more dogs, within a year.
I know this post is old, I don't have a chance to read my e-mails often,
but I hope somebody has taken this poor old guy in. He sounds like he could
really use some loving right now. I hope everything turns out alright for
him.

Before everyone gets all excited, Julene has AOL version 6.0, which
still had a plain text option.
AOL 7.0 and I suspect 8.0 do not have a plain text option. Their
technical support people don't all know that, so don't let them confuse
you either. Unless you have the very early release of the 7.0
