Mast Cell question

2002-11-07 Thread bernerhaus
Last week I had a lump taken off Gunner. It was on his side just under the skin. I found out this evening it's a mast cell. The vet said that's it's a grade 1 (I guess if you have a mast cell that's the good news). He said the pathologist could not definitely say they got it all. So the vet

Has anyone had any issues with side effects using Rimadyl in the short term, in this case after tpo surgery? - I guess I'm in the minority here. I have used rimadyl on Gunner with no problems at all, in fact, it works great on him. Gunner doesn't have the best joints. About

Why question everyone's motive? Because there are to many pups ending up in bad situations and are bred without regard to health and temperament and that doesn't help the breed. I applaud a breeder who does all the leg work to breed a litter for the right reasons and not just for a buck. As

When my Greta turned 1 year old, she realized she's a guard dog. If there is a male coming at me she will sometimes let them know that she is there. It's not a vicious bark, just a very confident I'm letting you know I'm here tone. If the person comes up to me and wants to meet Greta. As soon as

I'm so sorry to say that last night I had to put my big berner boy, Gunner, down. He and Mattie are now together. It all happened so fast and, of course, my husband is out of town too. The day before I could tell Gunner didn't feel that well. He sometimes had days where he just wasn't 100%.

Re: Had Enough -- Now: How to be a breeder

I just felt like throwing in my two cents. The first thing I think when someone posts to the list and says how a breeder has been mean to them because they were asked some questions from the breeder is to stop whining and think. If a breeder is worth anything they will ask questions. I

Picnic with Greta

My Greta did something this past weekend I wanted to share. My dog club had a picnic at the lake near where we live. Our picnic site had a roof over several picnic tables, then there was a wooded hill down to the water. There were a few of us down at the water. Greta, who has become quite the

Greta's Excellent Adventure

I'm very proud of Greta. This past weekend was the second time ever in an excellent standard course (preferred) and she Q's with a first place and 13 seconds under time. I've had Greta in preferred agility until we work out our kinks as a team. Greta has matured a lot lately and is jumping very
