[Bes-admins] PlayBook tethered?

2011-06-29 Thread Rob.Sargent
Is there any way from an admin perspective to know if someone has tethered a PlayBook to their BB device? Am wondering about both BES 4.1.6 and BES 5.0.2. Thanks! Rob image/gif___ Bes-Admins mailing list Bes-Admins@dataoutages.com

Hi Rob, I would check the BAS to see if they have installed the BlackBerry Bridge client on their BlackBerry. Regards, Joe Sent on the TELUS Mobility network with BlackBerry -Original Message- From: rob.sarg...@ic.gc.ca Sender: bes-admins-boun...@dataoutages.com Date: Wed, 29 Jun

[Bes-admins] Ringer issue

2011-06-29 Thread Steve Bailey
I have had two users come to me today with the same issue and I am not sure how to correct it. The problem is no matter what setting you have setup for the profiles the ringer will not ring when a call comes in. We tried rebooting the phone and changing all the ringer settings with no luck.

That’s what I thought too but when you go into edit the profiles and click try now it works but when an actual call comes in it doesn’t. I didn’t do a wipe yet because the users didn’t want me to take the devices from them. From: bes-admins-boun...@dataoutages.com

A battery pull should fix the ringer. Thank you, Marsha Hacker Jackson Wireless Telecom 517.367.3767 Opt. 2 [cid:image001.gif@01CC3674.CC5F36C0] From: bes-admins-boun...@dataoutages.com [mailto:bes-admins-boun...@dataoutages.com] On Behalf Of Steve Bailey Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2011 3:45 PM

You could also delete the service books, as one of them may be corrupt. I had one user that downloaded something and it messed up the ringers. Even a wipe didn’t work. Had to do a new software installation to fix it. Diane Reardon •: 616.863.4800 •:
