I think you should report the warning from the 3rd party plugin to the
author, or start a thread in the plugin's forums.

I've now been running one squeezebox and two copies of softsqueeze (one
on the server and one on my desktop PC) for four hours (after globally
excluding myi and myd files from Virus scan).

Check the debug log with d_source and d_plugin set.
It should show activity parsing the BBC web sites and then trying to
play a station.

I'm seeing exactly the same thing. Artist information is missing from
both the web interface and the Squeezebox display only for the song
that is currently playing and previously played songs. Upcoming songs
still show the artist correctly. It happens for me both in random mix
and when playing
I've got this issue too. Stock 6.5 on Win XP.
