When I open squeezeboxserver, the left pane is empty,
then I have to hit the reload button then it's ok.

In 7.5 trunk I see:
- Undock player panel
- Collapse
- Save
- Clear
I've found the cause for this ( I think)
Disabled Audio File Extensions is affecting the playlist scan !!
I had m3u,pls there.
So that playlists among my music files would not be picked up ok .
Disabled Playlist File Extensions should affect playlists ok.
The likely cause here is that my
All maner off strange things is happening when i tried to shuffle a
playlist the shuffle icon did not change and the settings did not take
untill 30-40 seconds later when it suddenly cyckled trough all my
choices in row, but the icon still lagged.
Most disturbed thing music stopped briefly ?
Actually hitting shuffle a couple of times makes the music dropps for 10
seconds 3 to 4 times, before it's ok again

I see the same thing with the Default skin in Firefox 3.6.3. I had seen
this before, but didn't realize that it was happening 100% of the time
until testing it just now. Clearing the cache doesn't help. It works
fine in Chrome, and Firefox has no problems with 7.5.x.

Just updated to r30657 and now my scan completed successfully. So not

into the server and stop it. Find the location of slimserver.pl which

I'm seeing the same thing. Here's the perfmon.log. The 11+ second
entry at the beginning is the first time I enter New Music through the
web browser. I then played all the tracks in one genre, about 360
total. The 7+ and 9+ second times are the result of pressing the
shuffle button in the
Oh yeah, no doubt about it... it's much faster when controlling a Boom.

Just installed a 7.5.1 nightly again which updated the controller to
r8714 and Now Playing is working again.
Thanks for the quick fix and sorry for not responding to the questions
earlier in the thread ... I though I subscribed to it when I first
posted, but it looks like I missed to select that
Yes it's doesn't matter which interface I use.
The result is the same I have tried with Touch's own UI a controller
and web-UI

Yes, clearing the playlist field fixed things. I'm going to try to go
back to MySQL for the time being (I really miss my Erland plugins).

I have a new Touch and an ALAC ITunes library and haven't been able to
play a SINGLE SONG since I plugged in the Touch!! THIS IS A P1 ISSUE

What problem(s) are you having exactly? What platform etc are you
using?
Since installing 7.5.1 r8714 on the both my Touch and SBC, I can't
install any applets. It seems like the Applet Installer changed also.
You can only install or reinstall. There is no way to remove one. I
thought there used to be a remove option, but that may have been
several releases ago.

just upgraded to 7.6.0 r30659 and did the initial scan.
After 6 hours it recognized all of my 180.000 tracks - but it only
found 1.499 cover arts - of my 9.429 ...
The missing covers - as well as the files/albums without (existing)
cover show up as dead link to:
I run SBS on a Win 7 x64 PC and all my ITunes files are Apple Lossless
(m4a). When I go to play a song on the Touch I get the Problem: Can't
open file for the D:\itunes\Music\etc error every time regardless
of which build of SBS I use (7.5, 7.5.1 nightly including todays, 7.6).

Are you using it in SQlite or MySQL mode.
On my system the MySQL scanner does not work with 7.6 at all.
(actually I don't think MySQL works in 7.6 . MySQL works perfectly with
my server with other versions of sbs )
Otherwise I have little insight in your problems my cover art works.
