Can you check whether the transcoding settings are available
Just run a quick test: on pretty new installation of Raspbian, there's
no lame installed. But transcoding to flac worked right away (using
sox/flac). After I installed lame, mp3 was available as well.
But as I said: with recent players (SB2+) you should get flac streaming

I tried the current nightly, 1383307955, did a full rescan, and the
problem is still there.
e.g. I play the FLAC+CUE rip of the newly remastered Moondance album.
Several tracks are OK, but for several others it plays track 1, whilst
indicating that it is playing track N.

Yes, I did run a full rescan with 1382588309 too, but that did not fix
the problem for it. I am happy to try again if that would help?

server running Windows 8.1 Pro and ran a full clear and rescan of my
library - WOW! It scanned 23003 directories holding 19290 files in just
5 minutes 15 seconds! It used to take nearly 45 minutes to scan the same
directories!
Seems the builds are out of synch again.
