I have about 16,000 files.. it took I think 2 hours at least (was about
45 minutes in 7.5.1)
Can I help with something to profile that?
CPU is 5-8%, mostly kernel time (obviously)

The Snooze button on top of boom no longer works with f/w 54 on SBS 7.6
Snooze button does not work with either as Sleep, show time or Snooze
during alarm. Remote control Sleep button works so it looks like a
Boom f/w issue not an SBS one.
Boom snoozebutton factory test all work OK.

Does snoozebutton on top work for you - e.g. sleep during normal playing
or next alarm time if stopped.

Yeah, I don't think this problem has anything to do with third-party plugins.
Do you install nightly releases, or run perl code from SVN checkout?

Sounds like most issues are due to auto-rescan. If auto-rescan is disabled, I
guess most of these plugin issues go away?

I never use the snooze/sleep features on the Boom, however, pressing
the snooze button on top of the Boom has no effect whatsoever, in
either play or stopped mode.

Nightlies always.

You want to see the
just installed 7.6_9037 again. This time both CustomClock and

not save the one before reverting to 7.5.1_9009).

Why don't you switch to SQLite - it's much faster under 7.6 - and more
I read this: (pressing on 'i' on html page)
Squeezebox Server supports SQLite and MySQL Server. SQLite is
recommended for embedded systems and those with less memory, and also
offers faster scanner performance. MySQL may offer better library
browsing performance and is recommended for faster
Please note that we're working on this issue.
FWIW: my preset 4 now has the snooze button's function...

Why don't you switch to SQLite - it's much faster under 7.6 - and more
importanmtly it works :-) (yes I know Custom Scan won't work...)
Is it really much faster? Does it really work?
How can anyone tell, when:
a) SQLite scanning doesn't work for some people
b) MySQL doesn't work at all!
Is it

I will try SQLite, but anyway it is a severe (performance-related)
regression bug,
I opened http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16460
BTW, I am using NAS (Lime unRaid)

Yeah we noticed this yesterday. The IR codes were changed by accident. I'll put
in a server workaround until we can get a fixed firmware out.

On my CC4.2 linux installed with the rpm SQlite is the only working
alternative with 7.6 .
It also works really well, no scanning problems for me.
On the other hand MySQl wont work at all

SQLite comleted in 40 min, about 5 minutes less than 7.5.1 on MySQL and
4 times faster than MySQL in 7.6..
So, what about MySQL in 7.6, why is it there, and why is it broken?

Start a 'clean and rescan music files'

Only IE8? I've never seen this with other browsers.

Ok, I'm testing it now. IE8, web interface open, running a full clear
rescan.
So far no problems. It's about 1/2 way through the 'scanning new
files' stage on 24k FLAC files.

On my system it always stalled at the artwork stage..
