Greeings fellow birders:
After birding with Ryan Archer from Bird Studies Canada this morning I went to
Turkey point and birded along the roadway at the old fisheries station and
found my first Fox sparrow for the year. Also with the bird were several
Hermit thrush, Red breas
Around noon today there were 2500+ Snow Geese in the sod fields at the
corner of Highway 138 and Lafleche Road, just south of Highway 417. There
were some blue morphs in the group. There was a large flock on each side of
Lafleche Road, one mixed with Canada Geese and the other mixed with Canada
My wife Kim and is saw two 2nd year Golden and one 1st fall Bald Eagle today at
about 3 p.m. flying together in a southwesterly direction across the Trent
River into Peterborough County, about 3 km downstream of the Village of
Hastings.

Sorry for the lateness of the post, but we had some technical issues.Today at
around 11:40 I saw a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher flying high and west over our
farm on the West 1/4 Line Rd, south of Regional Road 60.?My

Some of us were treated to close-up looks at Snow Buntings today on Petrie
Island. Initially there were 5 but the number increased to 9 late in the day
(counted every one). It's at the same location as in previous reports.
The Lapland Longspur was last seen late Thursday. Two
While cycling through the Earl Rowe Park today I came across 5 Snow Geese,
sitting on the shoreline in the reservoir. There were three adult
white-phase and two dark juveniles.
To reach Earle Rowe Park from Hwy 400 take the Cookstown cutoff for hwy 89
and head west. Follow Hwy 89 through Alliston
