Hi Birders,
Alvan Buckley, Mike Burrell and I just returned from a 9 day trip across
northern Ontario, birding the north shore of Lake Superior and Rainy River (May
20-28). Birding was really good in pretty much every area we birded; though we
spent most time at the listed
At 7:30 this morning, Stu Mackenzie found an Ash-throated Flycatcher while on
morning census at our Old Cut Field Station. The bird was working the pines
along Lighthouse Crescent from the gate at the end out to the corner of Erie
Blvd. Several of us were able to get on the bird as it fed
The common ravens continue to be seen almost daily in the area of Pharmacy
Ave. and Ashtonbee Rd. They appear to have nested on the communication
tower.

Posting for Wayne Renaud. The TOC Whimbrel Watch at Colonel Sam Smith Park
in Toronto recorded 500 (actual count) from 6:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Conditions were on and off rain. One tired but alert
Whimbrel rested close to the watch for almost 2 hours.
