Hi Ontario birders,
A short while ago Jim Frith posted to Facebook and sent me a photo of an Ivory
Gull that he found this morning at Colchester Harbour near Harrow, Essex
County. A number of us arrived here a little while ago and are not seeing it
but are quite hopeful that it will return.

Over a span of several days, while viewing the FeederWatch Canada camera
set up in a backyard in Manitouwadge, I observed all 4 subspecies of
redpoll: hornemanni, exilipes, rostrata, flammea. The Hornemann's
(hornemanni) was present yesterday, March 2nd, and the Greater (rostrata)

Yesterday (March 2nd) afternoon (4:30 p.m.) I saw a female American
Kestrel on Ravenshoe Rd. on the south and north side of the road at R.R.
#119 roughly two kilometers west of Park Rd. and the railway track
crossing (Town of Georgina). The Kestrel was showing very well and I

On a bitterly cold morning I stood on the town bridge in Almonte and scanned
the 100s of Geese. There is one Pied-billed Grebe near the bridge amoungst
them. Who knew that "pie" had a past tense.
