An adult drifted eastwards over our house a bit before 10:00 today. Not
that it is likely to remain in the vicinity but any birders out and
about along Lake Erie today might want to keep their eyes open.
Sighted 2-3 km off the lake north of Pt Stanley at Union.

obvious but mostly because Racoons (I think) are using the viewing hide as a
latrine.

Pt. Stanley is on the central north shore of Lake Erie south of London-St
Thomas at the end of old Hwy 4. There is obvious access to the harbor area on
both sides of Kettle Creek.

A fair number of waders, mostly in the third cell from the east, most notably 9
Red-necked Phalaropes and a single Hudsonian Godwit.
Directions: Pt Stanley is on the central north shore of Lake Erie. Drive
first 1 km west of the village on Lake Line then 1 km northwest on Scotch Line.

Mallards and Am. Black Ducks, and seems not to think it is abnormal in
any way. Views are quite close with good opportunities for photography.
The duck was found on Feb. 12 by Wade Beaudoin.

This morning a Red-necked Phalarope was at the Pt Stanley sewage ponds (1st and
2nd ponds from the east). I did not see the Ross's Goose, nor many Canadas
either for that matter.
Drive west of Pt Stanley for 1 km on Lake Line, turn north on Scotch Line and
proceed for 1 km.
