For anyone visiting Algonquin's Park's Highway 60 corridor and looking for
winter birds, there were 20 Evening Grosbeaks at the boat launch in Whitney
this morning at 8 AM (corner of 2nd Street and Ottawa Street). They have been
semi-regulars in this area over the winter. Whitney is a 5 minute
Morning...at 930 this am there were 2 dark morph rough leg hawks and a 3rd
regular (light morph)? Seen from Amaranth-East Luther town line and 25th side
rd. South west of town.
There were also 50+ snow buntings on dufferin road 17 and 2nd line SW (north
west of town)

I found a Peregrine Falcon today near the top of the tobogan hill
at Malden Pk Windsor, could be one of the Ambassador Bridge birds.
It flew of and perched in a tree occupied by the resident American Kestral.

Dear Ontbirders,
Today around 3pm we stopped at Port Credit harbour to look for the
Harlequin Ducks. We quickly spotted the male and two females out past
the gazebo, as had been recently reported. While I attempted to
photograph the trio through my scope, my girlfriend (who is not a

A field trip organized by The Backyard Birder in Newmarket yielded
some good winter birds today. Along Canal Road east of Hwy. 400 we had a
female Purple Finch visiting a roadside property and an adult female Cooper's
Hawk watching the feeders from across the canal. Soon afterward we
