This works fine for me under b57. I'd suggest backing up your preferences
and trying a clean install and seeing if that helps.

I also want to applaud those people keeping QS alive. Been using it
for a couple of years and utterly love it.
Anyways; are there any news on this problem?

I have the latest version of SL, Mac, and have tried installing QS
multiple times and using Apple Forums, have avoided certain plug ins
like Apple Airport etc and have deleted the Plugins Folder in my home
directory and started again.
However, I still have problems activating QS. When I press
Thanks! I'll give that a try.

Try ctrl space?
I have registered a bug over the double modifier launch only working
when qs is the latest active app.

I'm using b57 v3840 on Leopard. I have enabled indexing of my FF3
bookmarks. The problem is that when a bookmark is called it shows up
with a generic square white page as the icon. They should show up with
the usual icon for a url (a globe). This occurs even if I manually ask

You might also have issues if you don't have growl installed. I'm not
sure the handler I wrote doesn't cause issues if you don't have growl.
If you don't have/don't want Growl:
change Jon's callskype() handler (which is also better) to :

Basically, first of all you need to make sure the applescript works (that's
what everyone here is trying to do).
Instead of running it through Quicksilver, open up Script Editor found in
your applications/utilities folder and copy / paste the script into that,
then click run.
If that works then
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard (10.6.2) and updated to B56a7
(3825). Now, whenever I use the trigger to open the QS box, it opens
in space 1. Even if I'm in another space. This is a little annoying
because, sometimes I want to open apps in a new space.
But I still love QS!
Hi there,
I just installed the latest version on 10.6.1 -- I can't get it to
hide from the applications list (alt-tab).
In the system preferences/user setup, under 'login items', I've
checked hide for Quicksilver, but it still shows up.
I can't open the preferences pane (I have it running on

The mods have reorganized the community somewhat and so they probably
won't see any glitch or bugs reports if they're placed over here now.
Hope this helps.

Try assigning Quicksilver.app to Every Space in the Spaces section of
System Preferences.
This works! But you have to restart QS for it to take effect.
Actually you can't just paste it into script editor and click run to
see if it works. QS actions are written to accept text from
Quicksilver and act upon it. Clicking run in script editor causes
nothing to happen with a perfectly good action.
It's most likely not a problem with QS, as its

Woops, my bad :/ Didn't realise it was a QS action :o
You could try it in script editor but replacing the argument(s) sent from QS
with a default entry.

You can still report a bug from within the app. No idea if anyone
reads them.
