Yes, it does all of that.
The fact that the subject is read at the beginning doesn't bother me at all.

Hi list,
talking about thunder bird, is there anyone who uses it with NVDA? I
would like to know how to sort the colums (things like
from/subject/date) with NVDA.
I am really new with using NVDA and thunderbird as well.
I would be very grateful for your help.
Feel free to contact me at:
I have ms 2007 Excel and I would go to the home ribbon, alt, H, O, and arrow
down to colum widths. Tom

Karen,
Thanks for the suggestion but I have Office 2010 with
ribbons. Your suggestion was the way I did with Office 2000.
I used to know how to do all this but with the ribbons
everything is different and I do things like this so seldom
that I forget. Thanks again

Respected members,
I'm facing a strange problem with my audio. When ever I'm in voice call
in Skype or in some other messengers, my jaws is also audible to others.
This is becoming annoying problem for me and for the receivers also. So
please help me to come out of this problem. By the way
Do you use headphones, or speakers along with jaws, and what type of
microphone?
Asking since, if using speakers, you'd need a really directional microphone
to avoid picking up jaws in background if busy on PC while busy with skype
call.

You might want to check your sound card on the recording side to make sure
that the microphone setting is checked and not some other option like what
you hear. Trust me that would do what you are having a problems with.

I use Jaws 12.
Trust me, TB is easy, once you get used to it.
However, it requires some time to appreciate it.
I wish I'd installed it before.
Hope that helps.

Well, I may have to give it a try. In WLM, the subject line and other
items in the header will not read after deleting an e-mail. Since
Thunderbird will, I think that's reason enough to learn to use it.

Hi
There is a possibility I may get an office job. One of the hurtles I
will have to get past is needing a screen reading program for the computer.
They are running windows 7. I know that JAWS does a wonderful job. However,
it is a non-profit place and they don't have that type of money. So,
I suggest NVDA which does a fine job so long as you don't have to get into
anything overly fancy like scripting. I reloaded a system for my neighbor
last month using it the entire way.

Hi Mark,
You might wish to try NVDA, a free and open-source screen reader, that
is free for everyone to use. I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but it
has similar functionality to Jaws, although it does lack scripting
capabilities, but it is still a really great screenreader. As an added
Hi all. I'm making an audio CD and noticed that the volume in some of the songs
is lower than in others. Is there software that would be Jaws friendly that
would make the volume as uniform as possible so there isn't such a big
fluctuation between tracks?
