I admit I was less of a fan of cyber asault, maybe it was that I missed most
of the newbie area, or maybe its that combat is stupidly fast and rather
difficult without a soundpack etc, or maybe its just that the writing
appealed to me less, a shame, since scifi exploration muds seem much rarer.

All the best,

Has anyone had any success with ancientanguish.org? That's a rather old
mud or was the last time I tried to create an account and couldn't do
that.
A while back I played cyberassault.com and that was pretty good.

Heh, I used to play on ancient anguish.  It's just a basic no frills
mud.  It works just fine, but there really isn't anything there to set
it apart from other muds.  If you're just looking for a generic mud
where nobody is going to hassle you, then it's a good choice.  If you're
looking for all kinds of new stuff, and lots of features, then you'll
need to look elsewhere.  It's very good for what it does though.  It's a
great place for newbies to wander around, learn the ropes, and get some
experience under their belt before moving on to other places.

Hello.

And why is it your favorite?

My favorite MUD is Alter Aeon.
The reason is because of all of the creativity that goes on in the game.
I have not found any other MUD that is just as good as this one.

My favorite MUD client is Mush-z.
I like that it gives the MUD music and sound effects.
With this client it makes the game more enjoyable.

Howdy,

Recently, I got into Legends of Kallisti, as I really like the
progression system. Not only can you buy hitpoints and mana with your
experience and gold (okay, that's necessary in order to progress), but
at level 58, you can get bloodlines which gives all the ancestors
benefits (each time you level you get one hitpoint, mana, and stamina,
or both). As for cli"js, I like Tintin a lot, as writing packs for it
is easy. Speaking thereof, a bit of a self-plug, I and another
character on the game have one at

Oh, and as for mud client, that varies.  I usually use tintin plus plus,
or muddle, though I do have mushz (don't like it much), vipmud (hate
it), and one I'm writing of my own (needs more debugging before it's
suitable as a general client), or sometimes, I use just plain old
telnet, just because.

Re: [blind-gamers] What is your favorite MUD and MUD client?

2018-06-10 Thread Hunter Jozwiak

Usually when not playing Alteraeon I like Vipmud as a client because its
straight forward and easy to use and handles characters well.

other muds I enjoy are frandom for the puzzles, 4 dimensions for the
weird world, erion for some quick monster bashing (I've also played
aardwolf too), and cosmic for great space activities, Flexible survival
forcrafting and exploring though I'm always up for trying new muds
recently I was expiermenting with a game called criosphere which is like
frandom in space.

Hello.

What is your favorite MUD and MUD client?
And why is it your favorite?

My favorite MUD is Alter Aeon.
The reason is because of all of the creativity that goes on in the game.
I have not found any other MUD that is just as good as this one.

My favorite MUD client is Mush-z.
I like that it gives the MUD music and sound effects.
With this client it makes the game more enjoyable.
