maybe this is narrow minded of me.
But my insurance company actually tells me when my roofing waranty is up.
Couldn't they at that time, request the customer to show that electrical
lines X feet from the house are insulated?
Is it really dumb, or out-of-line
I've always thought the service feeds are insulated, but it could certainly
break down or crack, and I've heard too many varified stories of folks getting
zapped when using ladders or installing antennas to think
there isn't a problem.
I think the wires in a service feed are far enough apart so
at our polar bear habitat.

Well, I can answer the last part of that question. It is because the bird is
in contact
with only one wire. If it perched on one wire and then a part of its person
touched the
other wire, it would be Bye Bye Birdie!
