In fact, the above-referenced article is nowhere near as pie-in-the- 
sky as my prior comment suggests...


These things will start of as Vinge-esque external annotation  
systems, I suspect. I hope I live long enough to wear one of those,  
but not sure I want to be as jacked-in as the article suggests with  
brain prostheses, although I've got a nice lime-sized hole in my  
brain to park it, should the need arise.
