This coming weekend, brings in the Texas QSO Party. A very popular contest
here and around the USA and the world. The money bands have always seemed
to have been 20 and 40.
Antennas -- For working as many stations as possible from your QTH
There's a touch of fall in the air and we're seeing some gas prices under
$3.00 so the weather and gas gods are smiling on the 17 Texas mobiles and
numerous fixed stations just in time for the Big Enchilada of state QSO
parties which will be running in two sessions this coming weekend.
Session 1:
The end of September sees one of the most fun contest for Texans of the
whole year, the Texas QSO Party (TQP).
There are lots of reasons it's a fun contest.
1.It's great to be the pursuee instead of the pursuer.
2.With so many counties (254), it's a real challenge to work a
TQP - September 27 and 28.
It would be nice if they would put the dates on the front page. Perhaps in
that great big empty header they have.
