[BVARC] Greetings and a question for you

Hi, Dave (W5SV) here with a question for you members... We are moving to Sugarland  in a few months, and I am hoping to find a home where I might be able to put up a 70' (or taller) tower. Are there any neighborhoods you might recommend where this is possible? Thanks and 73 de Dave, W5SV

[BVARC] RFI

Due to some HOA C, I am confined to attic and gutter antennas for the time being. I am getting a bit of RFI on occasion into my PC; it manifests itself mainly by apparently disconnecting the com port from Commander.  When this happens, I can restore functionality by selecting a different com

[BVARC] W5SV functional again

W5SV is back warming the airwaves again! I improvised a rain gutter antenna on 80/40/30 & a non-resonant dipole in the attic as well as a 2m/70 cm antenna in the attic (can be seen on my QRZ.com webpage). HOA restrictions are tough, so DXing is by remote base. Next up will be an end fed wire

[BVARC] ARRL registration

I am having trouble registering on the ARRL website. It requires my callsign (W5SV), but won’t accept it, giving me a pink box that says FCC call signs cannot be manually entered. This info will NOT be saved. Not entering it doesn’t get accepted either. Anyone out there have any clues or
