Good reasoning, first editions of any product often full of bugs.. How many versions of Windows 8 are there..? Seems MS released a second version less than a year after first introduced.. Personally, I'm quite satisfied with Windows 7, all my software (Except for Eudora Pro e-mail client),

Success! When I came home today after work, Win10 had got past the “Getting Updates” and was at “Welcome to Windows 10”! It still took a long time to completely finish installing, but it is loaded and running! Now I have to reload a few programs, and USB devices, but looks like I’m good to go.

I have never had an issue upgrading to Win 10 but I did have to be patient and let the process work. Before you start, make sure that you have nothing else running. The upgrade process is not very good about updating its progress. So be prepared to leave it running and do something
