That is why I tell my clients; never, ever buy version 1.0 of anything.
Whether its Microsoft Windows, Flex-6000 radio or self-driving cars.

Subject: Re: [BVARC] [tdxs-list] Win10 upgrade problem

Alan,

When I upgraded my laptop from Windows 8.1 to 10 I had issues with the sound
drivers for my SoundBlaster Recon3Di. The drivers loaded and seem to work, but
I didn't have control over which Mic was active. So when I used my Rigblaster
Advantage USB audio, I was not able to use the right connection for my digital
modes. After about three weeks SoundBlaster produced updated drivers for
Windows 10 and all my functions are now working correctly.

I would make sure all the functions on the Audio Control panel work with all
your devices and if not go look for any updated drivers on the vendors site.
Some of the USB drivers need to be updated and Windows update can not find the
correct drivers for the Windows 10.

I always love having to plow the road for Microsoft.

Windows 10 is tons better than 8.1, but I sure miss XP. :)

Have Fun,

Jeff

Success! When I came home today after work, Win10 had got past the “Getting
Updates” and was at “Welcome to Windows 10”! It still took a long time to
completely finish installing, but it is loaded and running! Now I have to
reload a few programs, and USB devices, but looks like I’m good to go. Thanks
to all those who preached patience.

Windows7 has a bug in its scanning and update software. You can spend quite a
few hours not minutes waiting for it to finish. MS has made a couple of
attempts to fix it, but manages to break quite a few other things in the
process so they have withdrawn their latest attempt.

Good luck, but most have found it will update eventually.

I have finally started upgrading the computer to Win10 last night but ran into
a problem. It is stuck on "Getting Updates" and is stuck on "0%".

Any ideas other than just trying again tonight?
