Hi Robert, If you avoid setting AXIS2C_HOME, then the build scripts will define it within the script to point to deploy directory within the source checkout directory. That should avoid a lot of errors when building the code. It looks like there is a error in core where it should be using AXIS2_F

Hi Robert, As Bill mentioned, the ./configure options mentioned in the INSTALL file is for users who have downloaded the source distribution. You can use the same options by first running the autogen.sh which will generate the configure file and other necessary files by executing the GNU Autotools

If you look through the sources, you will find a directory src/core/transport/http/server/apache2 with some code inside that looks to me as if the result is an Apache module. I.e. probably the other way around - you deploy Axis2c as module into an Apache server. Never tried that but worth a look

Well, keep the group posted, but I too abandoned Axis/2c due to problems and lack of support with those problems.  I ended up using curl, which is a little lower level, but can easily be made to look like a web services message, and I use it to talk to weblogic web services. I found another issue with RC1 where when run http://localhost:9090/axis2/services on firefox the simple axis2 server segfaults. This is because firefox send a session string which is unhandled by simple Axis2/C server. I am fixing this and other issues I mentioned in my previous mail in 1.7.0
