Hi,
Saw this dance on-line (it’s the video that is on the GoFundMe page for the
Dayton, VA dance) and I like the dance.
Does anyone know the title, author and author's choreography of the dance? I
can work out the choreography but would like to see how the author describes

I wrote a dance similar to this. Perhaps it's been collected and a
variation has been called in other places.

Yes, the dance the Paul has shared is by Robert Cromartie.
I often will change the A1 of a Becket dance from circle left 3/4
pass thru, new N swing
TO (at the end of the B2 P swing) Look on the left diagonal and find
the next Ns, Circle L 3/4, N swing
I find the circle and pass thru to take
Mac,
This is very similar to Another Second TIme Around (I believe the author is
Robert Cromartie), difference being in ASTA (as I have it) the A-1 is Cir L
3/4 and swing N, w/o the pass through. It is a GREAT dance, but very
vigorous.

Paul
Here is a dance I collected a few years ago -

Ladies chain to balance & swing works if it's done like this: ladies join
right hands for a ladies chain, pull by to give left hand to your partner's
left hand, partner courtesy turns his lady, keep left hands
imho.

I haven't seen that specific dance. I'm also a little puzzled by the chain
to balance transition.
It looks very similar to "Button Pushers", which I unfortunately don't know
who wrote. They add a women DSD 1x to mediate the chain->partner swing.
Button Pushers

Contra/Improper

I am having trouble picturing how the intended flow would be from the ladies
chain into the partner balance and swing. It seems like it would be rather
awkward.

called "Dancy Nancy" and goes like this:
