Would it be possible to include the manifest.json file which contains
version information and such for the Pepper Flash? adobe-
flashplugin_20150414.1.orig.tar.gz already contains the file, so it
should be theoretically almost no additonal effort to extract that file
and place it in /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/ along with
libpepflashplayer.so.

It would be useful for wonderful projects like freshplayerplugin (PPAPI-
NPAPI adapter primarily used for getting the newest version of Adobe
Flash Player in browsers which refuse to or are unable to implement
PPAPI support), for which this bug is the only thing left preventing a
perfect user experience:

This proposed addition would not break anything, not increase the
package size by any significant amount (manifest.json being a text
file,) and it would be useful.

Skype's systray icon is shown correctly at first. However, after
suspend/resume, it changes into a kind of "keep out" sign, as shown in
the attached screenshot. This wrong icon will stay there until a restart
of Skype.

I am not sure whether this is a problem in Skype or the desktop
environment.

The browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash package (Wily, Xenial)
recommends pepperflashplugin-nonfree, which downloads the PPAPI Flash
plugin from Google.

This is not the only way to install this plugin in Ubuntu: the adobe-
flashplugin package, in Canonical's partner repository, installs it too
(PPAPI and NPAPI).

Shouldn't Ubuntu's version of browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash
recommend pepperflashplugin-nonfree | adobe-flashplugin instead, then?
Or only suggest pepperflashplugin-nonfree, as Alin Andrei's
freshplayerplugin package does (WebUpd8 PPA)?

Recommending pepperflashplugin-nonfree only means that a user with
adobe-flashplugin will get an additional PPAPI Flash plugin when
pepperflashplugin-nonfree installs as a recommended dependency of
browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash. I don't know if it is that much
of a problem, but I tend to be wary of this plugin, let alone two of
them.

I believe this is a packaging issue limited to Ubuntu since Canonical's
partner repository is not intended for Debian. AFAIK Debian has a unique
provider of PPAPI Flash in their repositories: pepperflashplugin-
nonfree.

However one could perhaps argue that the Debian package should also
suggest pepperflashplugin-nonfree instead of recommending it, since it
may be possible to install PPAPI Flash by other means on Debian too (I
guess)?

Currently the Update process tries to download this:

but there is only a newer version and it should download:

The old files aren't existent any more.
Maybe it is a good idea to switch to debs, or have a more proper organizational 
way to update this.

pulseaudio uses varying amounts of cpu (8 - 25%) even when there is no sound 
being played at all.
This happens every  time I turn mu notebook on, but simply killing it solves 
the issue. That means it will respawn using much  more reasonable cpu (0.1%).

Occasionally my Lenovo t440s starts to make a constant crackling /
humming sound. This doesn't stop sound from being played, but if no
sound is playing, the noise persists.

As it's a new laptop, I thought it might be a hardware issue. It almost
sounds like a bad earth connection.

However, the culprit seems to be pulseaudio since killing it and
restarting solves the problem.

Installed Trusty Tahr Demo ver. using official image(shows up as 13.10 in info)
initially it did work one out of 10 times but nothing seems to make it function 
now.. sometimes the fullscreen would show but quickly loose focus and return to 
the firefox window with frozen flash object.. the flash object would unfreeze 
once i cause it to loose focus(upper left corner) or if i switch tabs and 
return to flash object tab.

Things i've tried:
Updating firefox 25 to v 28
reinstalling flash from soft.center/source(11.202.336)

When I click on the Skype icon in the top panel, I always get the
following behavior:

1. It appears for a fraction of second;
2. It hides for a fraction of second;
3. It appears again, now for as long as I want it.

It's not happening on occasion, but every time. I can move mouse to the
next app indicator and then gol back to Skype -- and it will blink
again.

Attaching a video, though, there is no panel itself in it (Bug
#1004422).

Certain online videos aren't working correctly. The video slows down and
the audio gets out of sync. Top shows firefox using more then 120% of
the cpu. Firefox menus become slow, scrolling is difficult, switching

While upgrading centrifydc from version 4.4.3-464 to 5.1.0-497 on Ubuntu
12.04 64-bit the update fails and centrify no longer functions.

I found that while scripts in /usr/bin like adinfo have LD_LIBRARY_PATH
configured to /usr/share/centrifydc/lib64 that the actual symlink was
renamed to lib64.old.  Recreating the lib64 symlink to point at lib
fixes the issue and centrify works, however the update will still fail
since it will break it again during the upgrade process.
