Two female Black Scoters were reported from Stewart Park this morning.
Scott, Brad, Livia and I just saw 5 RUDDY DUCKS at Stewart, two female
types and three winter plumage males that looked VERY much like female
Black Scoters before closer inspection. I would be interested to hear any

New arrivals today were one Eastern Towhee and one Field Sparrow at the
conservation area.
I also saw a Green Heron at the beginning of Towpath Road yesterday and an
American Bittern on Van dyne Spoor.

Judy Abrams just called to report that she saw a NORTHERN PARULA with a flock
of Chickadees in Hector. She was in the woods about a half-mile north of the
parking area on Seneca Rd. between Potomac and Warner Corners Rd.

This afternoon I studied a first cycle ICELAND GULL on the red lighthouse
jetty. I was at 829 Taughannock blvd (89) so the gulls were in excellent
sunlight although quite distant. It is very late for this species, and although
all the gulls are worn and bleached this time of year, the Iceland
