Thanks Dave. It was still there at 12:42, moving north toward the Sherwood
Platform. Should be easy to see from there.
Good birding,

For those interested in arrivals, I just had my first-of-fall Lincoln's Sparrow
in a red bush in Palmer/Jessup Woods marsh, just north of A-lot, on Cornell
campus.

Can anyone validate this sighting, or is it just another misidentification?

Hi Bob and all else,
I myself had a Lincoln's Sparrow at the Freese Road gardens yesterday. Jay
and Brad found them first on the 14th and 17th. Also, one was seen at
Palmer Woods on Campus on the 19th. Looks like now is the time to go out
and find them.
Good birding,

Hi all,
Stewart Park put on a great show this morning, with the male YELLOW WARBLER
continuing at Swan Pen, at least 6 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS, a GREEN HERON at
Renwick, at least 2 BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS, and 10+ YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS.
No terns, catbird, or grebes that I saw, but a decent

Cayugabirds-L List Info:
A beautiful White-crowned Sparrow flew in for about 25 seconds to drink
some water at the lab's main feeder area at 3:18pm. Also around right now
is a flock of Pine Siskins, 10 Hooded Mergansers, and also a Purple Finch,
Magnolia Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and tons of Yellow-rumped Warblers.
I also saw the Pied-billed Grebe today, and thought it quite odd as well.
It was my first campus grebe! It was also nice enough to stay close to the
edge of Beebe, for some semi-decent pictures. The Common Merganser seems to
have found a friend also, as there will two of them today. Also, it's
second hand word that David Weber found a Connecticut Warbler on
the Wilson Trail at Sapsucker Woods a little while ago, somewhere on
the path behind the north feeders. Brad and I just went out and looked
for it without success, but wanted to get the word out. Hopefully we
can get more
Correction: The bird was a Nashville Warbler. Very sorry if any went out of
their way to get to it!
