Yes it’s a young Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, molting into adult plumage. An adult male would have a red throat, so I’d guess this was a young female. Nice bird! Marie Read Get Outlook for iOS From:

Hello, This bird has been coming to our feeders in Syracuse, alone, for the last week or so. Is it a juvenile male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker? Otherwise, we are stuck for identification. We've never seen one here before. We live in a residential neighborhood in the city. Wish we weren't
