My four guests this morning were treated to some nice bird sightings. Between
8:30 and 10:00 we had a Great Egret fly in then land in the back pond. We also
saw Hooded Merganser, Green-winged Teal and a Belted Kingfisher. Wood ducks and

Thurs. afternoon 3/28/19, Becky Sewell & I birded Rte. 90 from Union
Springs to 5 & 20, and 89 north to 31 (Mucklands where, for 35 min. we

Saturday morning (30 March) I biked to East Shore Park in an unsuccessful quest
for the Common Loons and Red-necked Grebe that Tim Lenz had reported. There
were many small boats of anglers on the lake, perhaps accounting for some of
the local bird scarcity, and the warm air over the still-cold w
Nice array of ducks on Dryden Lake this AM, including common and a few
red-breasted mergansers, buffleheads, northern pintails, horned grebes, ring
neck, scaup sp. and a few others I cannot identify in the mists.
