I talked to Reuben again today. He said that yesterday’s Broad-winged Hawk migration path shifted eastward during the day. Reuben also heard from another Amish farmer/birder, Adam Troyer in Candor NY, who counted these raptors migrating past his place yesterday: 774 Broad-winged Hawks 12

Yes, Derby Hill has seen very few Broad-wings yet, unless they got a pulse today. But my guy is definitely back, even swooping into the woods overlooking Maple Ave, where the nests from previous years are located. He's in the vanguard every year! What a racket the Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers are
