Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Disabling Directory Services

2011-07-18 Thread cisco cisco
To disable the directory services , for example the corporate directory,
what I do it's to disable it on the phone services, create a new phone
service with the same URL and without the enterprise subscription and with
BAT subscribing all the phones to that phone service except the one it
shouldn't have that option.

Normally I think it should be acceptable also to lose the order of those
services in the phone, unless there is an explicit requirement about it in
the wording of the question.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Calling Name display for MVA

2011-07-18 Thread Ashraf Ayyash
Hello ALL ,

Mobile voice access does not look at the calling party name configured
on the DN when placing the outbound call. Therefore you will not see
calling name being passed to H323 gateway and so the PSTN connection .

this is a working as design issue , and there is no workaround for it
at this point of time at least on 7.0 CCM as far as i know .

Best regards

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Issues with Mobile Voice Access

2011-07-18 Thread cisco cisco
Hi Experts,

Got some questions on MVA.

1)Is there any known issue with translation patterns ? It happens to me that
I have a scenario in which the CSS of the RDP should reach the phones only
through a translation pattern and things don't work.If I put this CSS on a
normal phone things work and can call normally from it..
2)Is it the expected behaviour that MVA doesn't consider the service
parameters Matching Caller ID with Remote Destination and Number of
Digits for Caller ID Partial Match whhile recognizing a remote destination
?I had to configure a voice translation rule to be recognized by MVA while
if I call from the very same Remote Destination to a phone in the CUCM I am
correctly recognized as the phone which shares the line with Remote
Destination.

Thanks

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Gatekeeper Call Processing

2011-07-18 Thread Randall Saborio
The publisher is not the primary server, so the first option should be the
subscriber.

Though the GK question may not be specific about which server to use first,
I would still configure the server preference as according to the beginning
of the exam where it tells you which server is the primary call processing
server.

It won't make you loose any points either if you configure it but they don't
check what priority you have set.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Issues with Mobile Voice Access

2011-07-18 Thread cisco cisco
Hi,

The translation pattern to me works to change the calling to some +
number, the problem is that as u know to change the calling you must use the
CSS of RDP once you change the service parameter Inbound Calling Search
Space for Remote Destination to Remote Destination Profile + Line Calling
Search Space

The problem comes after that when I want to use the very same CSS for MVA ,
in that situation I noticed that internal calls don't work if they have to
pass through a translation, and I validated that the CSS works fine by
assigning it to a phone and calling the exact same patterns I was trying to
call with MVA from it which in this case work.

Of course all works if I add the phone partition to the CSS of RDP.

For the second point to me the partial match is buggy , got problems many
times with that, but in the question I was asking if there's any difference
in the behaviour of CUCM with :

   - Call from PSTN with Remote Destination to a generic phone registered to
   CUCM
   - Call from PSTN with the same Remote Destination in this case directed
   to the number of MVA

What happens to me it's that in the first case the CUCM recognizes the
Remote Destination correctly and presents the call to the phone as if it was
coming from the phone to which the remote destination belongs.

In the second case I am not asked for the pin as I would have expected but
for the Remote Destination. To have the pin asked I have to add a
translation to the incoming dial peer which makes the ANI appears exactally
as the one written in the Remote Destination in the CUCM.

Thanks

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MGCP Gateway reg issue (not l2 TEI or l3 bind)

2011-07-18 Thread steven moran
Dear all,

I am not sure what is going on here, I welcome all suggestions

I have rebuilt a new Pub and Sub environment (10.10.210.12 and 13)
I have reloaded the router without the controller config and triple checked
the config and built all of the ISDN connectivity again.

Here is what is happening
pri-group timeslots 1-6,16
isdn stat shows the L2 TEI as MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
when I add the service mgcp to the isdn timeslots 1-6,16 the TEI losses L2
and status becomes TEI_ASSIGNED
I add the isdn bind-l3 ccm command to int ser 0/1:15 and shut no shut the
int.
L2 status is still TEI_ASSIGNED
I do a no isdn bind-l3 ccm
The L2 status becomes MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
I can then issue the isdn bind-l3 ccm command and the status stays
MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED as long as I do not reload the router or restart
the ser 0/1:15 interface - if I do it becomes TEI_ASSIGNED.

With regards to the registtration on the Call Manager
i I remove the mgcp bind control/media source interface loopback 0 the
gateway registers to the call manager using the BR1 serial interface -
10.10.11.2

When I put the commands back and restart MGCP - the gateway shows as
unregistered and uses the 10.10.110.2 address.

I have also followed Ashraf suggestion and in the mgcp clusterwide service
parameters issued the command
S0/ds...@br1-rtr.lab.com= 0011 to diasble
the unused B1 channels

At the end of the day when I make a call from HQ to 916178632683 nothing
shows up on the isdn q931 debug - I feel that this is maybe due to the isdn
bind-l3 ccm not being implemented correctly. The DNA shows that number is
being correctly routed to the gateway.

By the way I put in a voice dial peer from BR2 for this number and it does
ring on the phone - so my PSTN WAN router and phone seem to be all OK.

Once again here is my most recent config and sh status

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] MGCP and H323 Gateway issue/riddle

2011-07-18 Thread steven moran
Dear all,

over the last few days I've done everything I can think of to get the MGCP
gateway working on BR1 - cisco 2651xm router with no luck whatsoever.
Coincidentally I had a similar issue with getting the H.323 gateway workimg
on the BR2 router - Cisco 2811. I reloaded both routers, re-imaged them and
checked the config a hundred times and implemented all the advice I got -
all to no avail.

This morning I configured the MGCP gateway on BR2 - 2811 and the H.323 on
the BR1 2651 and it all worked first time (this took me less than 15 minutes
to config). I am not happy that it does not seem to work the other way
around and would like to have got to the bottom of the issue, so if anyone
has any suggestions please let me know. At least I know that all of my
config was ok and I learnt a lot about MGCP and H.323 gateways in the
process.

Best regards,

Steve

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MGCP Gateway reg issue (not l2 TEI or l3 bind)

2011-07-18 Thread Bill Lake
Hello Steven,

You do not show that you are using the following commands

ccm-manager config server
ccm-manager config

So I do not believe that the ISDN configuration on the CUCM will be applied,
only your configuration on the router, which is why you also have to type no
mgcp/mgcp to have changes take place.

What the command S0/ds...@br1-rtr.lab.com= 0011
does is busy out the channels on if the command ccm-manager config
server/ccm-manager config are used.

I have never had trouble on a 2800 series router getting it to add the bind
command once registered. It will by default bind to the interface closest
to MGCP, in this case the server running call manager connected via HQ and
more specifically, the serial port that provided data networking.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MGCP Gateway reg issue (not l2 TEI or l3 bind)

2011-07-18 Thread steven moran
Bill,

thanks for the response, the idea from the IPExperts is to use the
ccm-manager mgcp command and specify a fractional E1 - all of the commands
for the gateway are done on the router (control/media bind commands) and the
define call-agent etc. I too have no issues using the 2811 router - all of
my issues are when using the 2651xm with
c2600-adventerprisek9_ivs-mz.124-15.T14.bin.

I applied the advanced command on advice to busy out the bchannels not being
alocated.

Steve

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Disabling Directory Services

2011-07-18 Thread Ki Wi
I think there's a discussion before. If you are so concern about the sequence,
you can use SQL insert command.

In cucm 7 release note, it does mentioned about how to add corporate directory
back if you accidentally deleted it. Inside this command, you will realize you
can mark the enterprise subscription on or off and the sequence number.

Then I create a new phone service which MUST not be enterprise subscription

 which shouldn't have it.

 Any better idea ?

Normally I think it should be acceptable also to lose the order of those
