Yes we have had similar problems with screen savers but also with
switch user. We could not solve the problem so we switched off the
screen savers.

I personally do not find stereo useful when fitting density; by
using *proper* depth cueing (unlike what a certain more modern
fitting program uses) and rotating the molecule, one gets a sense of
depth.
All that is fine, however, where you are viewing the molecule by
NVIDIA is jumping into stereo games now with its own stereo glasses

The nVidia cards used for stereo are the Quadro FX series. The Quadro
NVS series are for running multiple monitors, but not fancy 3D graphics.

Just check out the cards on the back - it should have the small round
port that a 60GX plug would fit into. The NuVision site has a list of
cards that are compatible with their emitters. I don't remember them
all right off, but it's fairly straightforward.
