Thanks. I figured since JRun is gone the maximum threads setting would have
been replaced by something in Tomcat to which we also do not have access.
Do not believe this is a setting any longer. There are only options to set
the template, flash, web service and CFC requests. Believe the
We do not have access to our CF10 CFAdmin.
CFAdmin in CF9 has a 'Maximum number of running JRun threads' setting which is
supposed to be set at least to the total of the Template, Flash, Web Service
and CFC requests.
Since CF10 no longer uses JRun does CF10 have a similar setting, and if it

Is it just me or is the Adobe ColdFusion Blog (http://blogs.coldfusion.com/)
messed up?
I go to the home page and there are only two entries, one for Jan 1, 2015, and

If I go to one of those two pages I then get

Is there a relationship between CF simultaneous requests and maintained

Does a maintained database connection use one of the threads allocated for

For example, suppose in Request Tuning I have simultaneous (Template) requests

Hi back, Dave!
Or do the request thread and the database connection operate
independently of each other?
Yes, they're completely independent.
Thanks. This is what I always thought but I read something that made me think
things might be otherwise.

on the process and use cases themselves.
Of course. We realize that.
These are on demand processes. We continuously monitor, tweak, and tune
database performance. We're looking for additional improvement elsewhere as
well.

Hello!
We have processes that assemble reports from as many as 6 individual queries.
Currently the queries run sequentially so the related report cannot be
assembled and displayed until after all queries have completed. Users often
have to wait several minutes for their report. They are not

It would appear that around about every 6 weeks the development
version of an intranet I maintain goes down with a DSN

sure enough the password is somehow no longer valid.
I refer back to the password I have manually
I don't think there's any newer fix for this. There's no reason to be

Why set a bad password intentionally? If it was to stop it from being used,
you could just disable connections in the advanced settings of the
datasource. It is an instant change.
The bad password was not set intentionally (as far as we know).
