i think you have that backwards. pretty much most folks on the sql server
list will recommend
I don't think I was clear in my original post. There are a lot of databases users for this SQL Server installation. Before the re-install what do I need to do in order to backup the users permissions for all the databases? Do I just backup the Master database or maybe if I backup the correct
I agree.We have a variety of otherwise pretty good backup software
available - Retrospect and BrightStor.They seem to do backup okay.It is
only the restore that never seems to work.
We dump everything to a file via a maintenance plan and back that up.
