To be honest my preference has always been Wordpress back-end and a
customised CF front-end. However I'm in the middle of converting a
Wordpress blog to BlogCFC (which I've not used since it grew to v5) and
it's looking good to be honest.
The difference between BlogCFC and Wordpress in terms of
Having said that, if you have a specific wish for a CF-based blog then
you can presumably find your way around CF code and make your own

Great to hear. This is probably the main thing I've missed from
Blogger, when I moved to BlogCFC a long time ago.
If you are a CF developer and when you have a blog, I think it must be
based on CF.
Something that I could not understand is some developers have Wordpress,
Blogger etc. for their blog. This looks like going BurgerKing as
McDonalds employee.

I will admit to the admin being a bit simplistic. Ryan - if you can
tell me what you would like to see in the admin, I'd love to hear it.
(Although I'm sure folks would rather it move offline.) Feel free to

This doesn't bother me, but a lot of people are turned off by the entry
editor, because they want a wysiwyg editor. But with the latest

I'm partial to BlogCFM myself ;) For obvious reasons.
I'm not sure any of them offer the same kind of back end
administration that packages like Wordpress
I am using AVBlog for my personal blog and very happy with it. There are
tons of features that you can not imagine it. Specially new Ajax

You can install it without any settings. Even there is no need of any DB
settings. It uses XML files as default storage and there

Ryan,
I'm a bit biased, but you may want to check out CFBlog.com. It's
currently running on the final beta of the Blogfusion 5 codebase, but
it has quite a few of the features you requested below and it's free
for CF Developers. Plus you can point your own domain name at your

You can get a free blog at http://blogfusion.com/ or http://cfblog.com .
We will also be launching a hosted version of the greatly awaited
version 5 in the next few weeks. It is currently invite only. If
