Peter Farland of the Adobe Flex Engineering team will be in Sydney on
Wed 23rd and Thu 24th of January and he is willing to present at a
meeting.
I want to gauge the level of interest in having a meeting in January
to hear Peter speak.
I think Wed would be the best day to have it, in case folks
I'd love to hear him speak, but I'm flying back to NYC on Thursday 24th, so
my vote would be for the Wednesday :-
Best Wishes,
Peter

I have a batch file d:\test.bat which I would like to execute to run
on the server.
My command is as follows
cfexecute name=d:\test.bat
timeout=10
/cfexecute
This will echo the contents of the file test.bat to the screen rather
than execute the file.
Am I missing something simple
I think if you change the suffix of the file to .cmd it will run.

Has anyone passed a coldfusion variable to the binded cfc?
I for the life of me have done it once before, and do you think I can recall
how I did it?

Yeah,
A guy here tried it and it worked for him also. I get some strange error.
I'm going to uninstall all things Eclipse and try again.
Thanks

Andrew,
Yes that is correct, the variables must exist within the CFFORM.
So a Hidden variable for non form variables is the way to go.

Sooo,
Flex 3 Beta 3 includes the CFEclipse stuff, you just have to install it,
search for new packages and you you will see it there.
After uninstalling Flex 3 and removing all folders, and reinstalling, it
worked fine.

OK, been testing the http compression of the CF files. It seems (internally)
that the compression of the coldfusion files speeds things up a lot!
But... only in FireFox, in Internet Explorer it seems to have slowed it
down.
Only thing I guess this could be, is Internet Explorer not handling
The page refresh does seem a little slower in IE6 than FF, but from here I
can't compare it with compression turned off :)
I'd say it is fairly 'normal' to use http compression. I think most sites
would. Keep in mind you're compressing the HTTP response, not the .cfm file
as such.
