Your laptop is running what Operating System and is it 32/64 bit?
If it is 64bit you are currently out of luck, unless it is the one supported
64bit OS. If you are running windows xp/vista 32 bit, then there is a link

you're running, but from what you're saying, I assume that you
have CF 7 installed as the CF-on-a-full-JRun-4-Installation
(second option in the installer) which assumes you're not running
CF 7 as the integrated Server install.

I have managed to get this going on a dev server by upgrading my CF7
install to Jrun updater 6 then putting a cf8 instance onto that
server. These blog posts helped me out heaps:
