Re: [c-nsp] [j-nsp] MX-80 as a BRAS and as a LAC
Hi, how much users do you want to terminate on your MX80 ? Keep in mind, that there is a limit of 16.000 IFLs. When you plan to use hierarchical qos, better go to a bigger platform. Hi, with local-pref you can control outgoing traffic for a specific destination. Prefer one of your upstreams based on the source of traffic, you have to use policy-based routing. Re: [c-nsp] 10Gigabit Ethernet with Sup6L-E
Might be some hardware problem with either supervisor (more likely) or X2 transceivers itself (less likely). Have you tried inserting different X2 transceivers or using same one in different chassis? Yes, i tried 4 different subs with 6 different X2 transceivers. But in the meanwhile, i know that the transceivers are OEM and i suppose an incompatibility between them and my hardware. Funnily enough, all transceivers run in WS-C3560E-12D without problems. This afternoon, i involved our distributor to provide replacement optics. [c-nsp] 10Gigabit Ethernet with Sup6L-E
Hi list, i have a problem with some a WS-C4506-E chassis. The systems doesn't boot when 1 or both 10G ports are equiped with a X2 transceiver. All status LEDs remain dark. When i power-on the supervisor engine without transceivers, system boots successful. After reinserting a transceiver, system dies without any console output. If i use TwinGig converters, system works without problems. Are there any restictions, when using Sup6L-E with 10G ports ? [c-nsp] Fwd: Re: 10Gigabit Ethernet with Sup6L-E
dies as in powers off? faulty hardware, id assume. No i can eliminate that, because there's the same behaviour on all 4 chassis with Sup6L-E. maybe config snippets would help. nothing is configured . I erased startup-config. as a side note, as of 12.2(53)sg or so -- sup6e and sup6l-e are the same in terms of functionality I heard something about a bundle offer of 4506-E with license limited usage of 10GE ports. Can someone confirm that ? I think i will first try a different IOS and if that doesn't help, i will contact TAC Regards, Alex ___ cisco-nsp mailing list cisco-nsp@puck.nether.net https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/
