Is there a way to not show the number translations on the 7940/7960
series? For instance, a 4 digit extension that translates to 95551212.
Can we just not show that we are grabbing an outbound line and dialing
direct? trivial, but for one customer, it drives him batty...

I have a user, ext 1511. I forwarded all his calls to an outbound line and
it works great.
Now he has left, I want to repurpose the phone, but still have ext 1511
forward. Can I setup a forward with an extension that doesn't have a phone?

We have a greeting when people call the main number, and if you press 9,
you can speak the name of the person you want to connect to.
This oddity is happening:
I speak "John Smith" who is extension 1305, and the system waits, then says
"transferring to Jane Doe" who is extension 1306.

Sorry, just noticed in that example they reference ISDN. Again, calls
coming in on ISDN are fine, we get name and number.
It's when calls come in on the POTS lines that we just get the phone number.

Telco is sending Name and Number to us.
Phones only ever display Number.
In UCM, selected phones have both Caller Name and Caller Number ticked.
Anything else could be preventing us from getting Names?

What is the best way to route DIDs? I see some setup on 2801s with

They always seem to work, but someone told me the preferred way is through
CM, apparently setting up a route point.
Thoughts?

I am trying to get Click to Call working with OUtlook 2013 and it's not
going so well. UCM 8.
Anyone use any of the other 3rd party ones instead? Or is there some
little tweak I need to use in OUtlook 2013 to make the Cisco one go?
Thanks.

We have an automated greeting (Press 1 for this, 2 for that, etc). But you
can also dial an extension. What is happening is people know the extension
begins with 2, so they press 2, then look at their notes to figure out what
the rest of the extension is, and take too long, and we say

hardware revision phones that require a minimum of
