and in most cases it does) the device pack installation
updates the firmware we can easily revert to the pre-maint defaults by
identifying the devices we use (#1) and easily copying the original firmware
version from an offline copy (#2).

3) Then re-run "ls -Z /common/log/install/capture.txt" and review output (it
should have corrected the labelling of the file).

the PUB force all devices to register to the pub using a
device pool change, stop the replication and then do the SUBs. Once done
restart the replication and you should be good.
I know its time consuming, but with a major upgrade I would do them one at a
time.

Joshua,
Thanks for such a quick reply. I just opened it on my mobile phone and it looks
promising.
Have to flex some python muscels will have to write an addition call so it will
check a bunch of IP addresses at once and dump the results in a text file.
Thank you again.

Brian,
Is the script internal to Cisco? I would love to do some internal testing in my
lab on a few different versions before I send notifications to our clients that
have the affected versions.
In other words can I please have the script? :)

am just wondering if there is an easy way to see how much cycles a script would
use.

stall at least CUCM and a
CUC server. For phones again if you can't afford them or don't have access to
them, soft phones will do. CIPC, IPBlue, 3CX will do great in your lab.
If you are serious and commit to it you will do just fine.
Good luck.

I do not see the need for a third reset since the firmware is remaining the

. Restart TFTP. You can change the defaults and hardcode only this phone if
you want to test.
On the flip side if you have any thing older then 8.5.2 it wont upgrade either.
You have to first upgrade to 8.5.2 and then to 9.3.1SR1s.
