This should not be a concern. Citrix has no standing to make decisions
within Apache CloudStack. Only individuals do.
Openstack includes spice support integrated with iptables.
Any case spice integration in cloudstack could be great .

its not up to citrix, as to what makes it into cloudstack, so I'm not sure
why cloudstack wouldnt include it... esp if someone implemente
