Actually that name is generated from the UUID when there is no label. You can change the label to something more friendly. How you do this depends on the file system. FAT32 file systems can be a little tricky to do under Linux (it is doable just not intuitive). You can also have a specific

Tho change the drive label under linux one needs to install the mtools package (at least that is what it is called in Debian/Ubuntu). Read the man pages, it is not hard to use just not obvious. If you have a windows PC you can change the label from Administrative Tools - Computer Management -
