If bolts are coming loose. I would drill heads for safety wire. Install with Red lock tight and safety wire so the wire gets tighter when bolts loosen. I keep a can of 0.032 dua stainless safety wire on board comes in handy for all sorts of projects.  Doug Mountjoy Rebecca Leah LF39 POYC, WA.

OK, here's the super secret rig tensions for a 35-1. Don't tell anyone outside the C community! Number are: Loos # / Tension in lbs / %breaking strength Uppers 34 / 1300 / 21 Fwd lowers 21 / 640 / 14 Aft lowers 12 / 270 / 5.5 These tensions should induce a bit of pre-bend in your mast.

I sounds like having the bolts loosen is the root cause. When I got my straight drive the coupler was held by carbon steel bolts with lock washers and nuts. They never came loose. When I added a vibration dampener the new bolts came with nylock nuts. They advised torqing them to the correct
