I repaired a water tank by hot air plastic welding. Plastic welding is pretty easy to learn, just get a pack of LDPE welding rods. I initially tried G/flex with alcohol cleaning prep and flame treating the plastic, but it failed. I had a really long crack (~1/3 tank length) along the corner
